AI4Copernicus partners eventually met physical after almost two years in the project, at Delphi, Greece, in a two-day plenary meeting organised by partner NCSR Demokritos, on Thursday 1 December and Friday 2 December, 2022.

Started in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021, with travels being still on hold, AI4Copernicus partners never had the opportunity to meet physically until now! In a two-day plenary meeting the partners had the opportunity to travel at Delphi, a great cultural and archeological heritage of Greece, where they met physically for the first time in two years.

The project manager Mr. V.Karkaletsis, of NCSR-D, opened the first day of the meeting presenting a summary of the project’s status and its progress so far, as well as the project’s objectives for the future. Partners also presented and discussed technical aspects of the project, open calls, user requirements & ethics and finally dissemination & communication issues. During the second day meeting, partners attended and discussed a presentation by Mr Gabriel Gonzalez Castane, representing the AI on Demand Platform, and also coordinator of StairwAI, sibling project of AI4Copernicus.

Not all of it was work though! Partners enjoyed NCSR-D hospitality and a visit to Delphi museum and archaeological site.
