AI4Copernicus together with the ICT49 cluster of projects participated in the International Conference on Information, Intelligence, Systems and Applications (IISA 2023), that took place at the University of Thessaly in Volos, Greece, between 10-12 July 2023.

More specifically, the ICT49 cluster of projects presentation at the conference the joint paper titled Encouraging AI Adoption by SMEs: Opportunities and Contributions by the ICT49 Project Cluster. The paper was presented by the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), which is the coordinator of the sibling project, I-NERGY. This joint effort focused on the research design of the six ICT49 projects, namely AI4CopernicusAIPlan4EUBonsAPPsDIH4AII-NERGY and StairwAI, as well as the outcomes and lessons learnt in the context of the Open Calls run by them, as the result of collaboration via the ICT49 Cluster Working Groups.

This year’s conference was the 14th conference in the IISA series, technically co-sponsored by IEEE, the University of Piraeus and the University of Thessaly. The IISA conference series has become an international forum for researchers and professionals in all areas of Information, Intelligence, Systems and Applications, thereby providing an excellent opportunity for the ICT49 cluster to disseminate its outcomes.
